Backing up your Hamachi Identity

All of Hamachi's settings, and your Hamachi account identity (as of version 1.x) are stored in an application data folder on your computer, not the registry. In order to ensure you do not lose your Hamachi identity, for instance, due to a system failure (computer crash), it is recommended you back up your identity.

2) To restore a backup:

BEFORE going online and generating a new IP, instead, go into Hamachi Preferences. It is important not to go online, as you will be issued a new identity (Hamachi IP) if you do.

Go to System > Open Configuration Folder.

Place you backed up files in this folder.

Restart Hamachi and go online. If you did this properly, you will retain your existing identity and settings.
