Brief Review of CELGames 2006 Grand Finals

On the 25th-26th November 2006, it was the judgement day for many professional gamers in Malaysia out there as the CELGames 2006 Grands Finals took place at the main concourse area in Low Yat Plaza,KL...

With three CHAMPION title up for grab (NFS,FIFA and BATTFIELD) ,this event was the main attention in Low Yat Plaza over that weekend..Not only gamers but as well as the present shoppers were totally excited as the Grand Finals going on.Located at the center of the main concourse area, with a grand but nicely decorated mini stage ,banners all around the gaming area and the well placed gaming pc , the excitement of all the participants could not got better.

The format of each games was eventually different from each other due to the limited qualifier for the grand finals. For the FIFA competition, the format was the Last-16 double elimination format while the NFS was using the Last 10 league format.Meanwhile a total of eight teams took part for the Battfield competition ,with two teams coming all the way from singapore.

The Grand Finals started promptly at 10am with all the gamers anxiously waiting for the kick off of CELGames 2006 Grand Finals since 9am itself.The FIFA and NFS started off the "war" as the earlier rounds of the competition were carried out by the respective game marshal. In the FIFA competition,after hours of great battle of all the gamers, no real upset happened as the main favourite Winds Vin and Winds Loon4tic steadily maintained their position in the competition. Meanwhile Solidsnake,Killer and zietoo keep the MyFeS 's challenge alive in the tournament with grabbing three spots in the winner's bracket.

26th November was the day of reckoning for the gamers , especially after the hard fought victories in the earlier rounds on the first day of tournaments.The excitement of day two started off with the battle Forza vs Liang in the NFS Most Wanted Finals,where eventually Forza edge Liang to win the competition after a real close race.Next it was the FIFA competition to take the stage. After all the stress and anxiousness, it was down to the battle between MyFeS SolidSnake and Winds Loon4tic at the FINALS match..Lady luck was with MyFeS Solidsnake this time as he managed to beat Winds Loon4tic by the away goal after the home and away match. Bravo to solidsnake, the champion of FIFA in CELGames 2006!

With the end of CELGames 2006,MyFeS would like to thank the organising committee of CELGames 2006 for all the hard works put on this event. Great Job!! With the success of SolidSnake in CELGames 2006, it actually had boost the confidence level of the MyFeS members as we now believed that we able to match with Winds, the current dominance clan in Malaysia FIFA scene..GG guys!! Lets look ahead for a better fight ,this year !
